Someone is killing cats with an almost surgical precision in Aurora, and Denver, Colorado and now in Salt Lake City, Utah. There have been at least 24 mutilation cases since July 2002 in Colorado and 10 cases in Utah since May 2002
A $12,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsbile for the mulitations in Colorado. Such cases are worrisome because, frequently people who display severe cruelty to animals go on to commit violent crimes aganist people. Also included in the cases are two squirrels and a rabbit in the Colorado cases.
The dead animals were found mutilated in the following locations:
