On July 8th, 2001, Bonnie June Wilson again called police saying Spencer had pushed her and then locked himself in the bedroom with their dog. She told police she thought he was choking the dog.
On August 31st, 2001, Spencer did not show up for his scheduled court date. Spencer's neighbor witnessed the grueling beatings of the original pup and now this one. Apparently he could no longer tolerate the agonizing screams, cries and whimpers coming from Spencer's home. The neighbor filed a complaint with the police department. He agreed to testify against Spencer. Meanwhile, Spencer began terrorizing the neighbor. Other neighbors saw him on his rooftop numerous times stalking the witness, watching him for long periods of time. Spencer then went on to threaten to kill the neighbor (considered a terrorist threat) and then proceeded to burn his car to the ground.
According to the police report, Spencer also threatened to murder his girlfriend when she proposed to call the police during the original puppy beating. The District Attorney spokesman, Eric Friedly, said if Spencer is convicted on all counts (felony animal cruelty, domestic assault, terrorist threats and felony property destruction), he stands to face 10 years in prison and be fined up to $16,000.00.
Spencer, anticipating arrest, once again, fled. He was last seen in San Antonio, TX by Fulton County D.A., Paul Howard in early June, 2002. He was brought back to Georgia to stand trial but fled again. References« Back to Search Results
