Fulton County sheriff's deputies have arrested a Perth woman for animal abuse.
Deputies responded to a call of dogs attacking a llama on Morrow Road in Amsterdam. When they arrived at the scene, they found many animals without food, water and some in need of medical attention. They also found several dead animals on the property. Officials removed over 100 animals from the property.
Police arrested Julianna Bennett-Blue for failure to provide proper food and water. She's due back in court on Feb. 2, 2004.
This wasn't Bennett-Blue's first run-in with the law. She has been charged with animal cruelty numerous times since the 1980s. Case UpdatesJuliana Bennett-Blue has pleaded guilty to one charge of animal neglect. Bennett-Blue avoided jail time, but she has been sentenced to a strict, three-year probation. Under the probation, Bennett-Blue is allowed to keep a dog and a bird, and the two must be seen by a vet every other week. After six months, Bennett-Blue may petition the court to have more animals.
