Nino Guiseppe Bruno, 87, was placed in jail on suspicion of felony cruelty to animals after he shot his neighbor's two dogs.

Bruno told police the dogs were aggressive, would not leave his property and were threatening his own dog.
The Rottweiler, Shadow, and the pit bull mix, Cassie, were both injured by the blasts from a small gauge shotgun. Both dogs have been treated by a veterinarian.
Jennifer Basquez, owner of both dogs, said the dogs were not vicious. References | Associated Press - Apr 17, 2002 |
